Bangla Channel Finally entered It’s Second Year

Zahan Ara Dolon: After going through many ups and downs, the US-based television channel Bangla Channel finally entered it’s second year. July 16 was the channel’s first founding anniversary.

According to the channel authorities, due to the worldwide covid19 epidemic, there were many plans but none of them could be implemented.

The channel entered its second year on July 17, 2020. Bangladesh Executive of Bangla Channel, Iqbal Bahar organized this special day with the members of Bangla Channel at it’s Dhaka office.

Chairman AKM Fazlul Haque and President Shah J Chowdhury supervised the event from New York.

The main purpose of the event was the hangout. But to preserve the formality they had to arrange a cake celebration. At the end there was a luncheon.

Prominent personalities, specially from Bangladesh and United States and around the world, from different classes and professions greeted on the telephone.

Tofail Ahmed, former commerce minister and a member of the Awami League’s advisory council, a top leader of the Bangladesh Awami League wished success and prosperity to the Bangla Channel on its one-year anniversary on a telephone call from Bangladesh.

Honourable Member of Parliament and former Minister of Bangladesh Primary and Mass Education Md. Motahar Hossain also greeted on telephone call from Bangladesh.

On the occasion of completing one year of Bangla Channel and entering its second year, the Board Chairman of Bangladesh Communications Satellite Company Limited (BCSCL) Dr. Shahjahan Mahmud greeted all concerned and wished all the success to Bangla Channel.

Colonel Faruk Khan, presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League and MP of Gopalganj-1, greeted everyone on Bangla Channel and wished them prosperity.

Iqbal Bahar, Bangladesh Executive of Bangla Channel, Rakibul Islam Mukul, Bureau Chief of Bangla Channel and Mubin Khan, Executive Editor of Ruposhi Bangla were present on the occasion.

Bangla Channel President Shah J Chowdhury said that no special event was organized at the head office of Bangla Channel in New York. But unofficially and informally, prominent people of New York came to the Bangla Channel office to greet.
